CargoDuo 1.5 brings the CargoDuo API. Your own software, such as a TMS, warehouse or ERP system, can send vehicles and cargo to CargoDuo and get a finished loading plan back. Your developers can connect it, or our team can do it for you. It works with the vehicles, cargo templates and projects your team already uses, and every plan comes with a PDF link you can share. The CargoDuo API is included with the Pro and Enterprise plans.

Every plan made over the API comes with a link to its PDF report. Anyone you send it to, a driver or a customer, can choose the language and the units and download the PDF, no account needed.

CargoDuo 1.4 makes it quick and easy to change a load by hand. Point where an item should go: green areas show where it fits, and the item turns itself to fit. A new dial turns the selected item, Find the best place moves items for you, and the 3D scene gets a cleaner look, settings with a live preview and a view per level for vehicles with a shelf.

Cargo & rules
Mark each cargo item Normal, Preferred or Must go. Must go items are loaded first, and when the vehicle is full, Normal items are the ones left behind.
Next to Overhang and Auxiliary Deck in vehicle settings, and next to Loading priority, Stacking Rule and Hazardous in the cargo form, a small moving 3D example shows what the setting does, with the numbers you entered.
Loading plans
Drag an item and point where it should go. Green areas show where it fits, and a Placing ring marks where it will land. Orange means it would be too heavy for the item below, and red means the item below is non-stackable: you are asked before it goes there.
While you drag, an item turns by itself to fit the spot you point at, and lies back down once there is room. It stands on end only when nothing else fits, and always keeps to its Allowed rotation.
Click an item and a round dial opens. Point at Stand up, Lay down, Turn left or Turn right to see the result before you click, or click the item in the middle for the best way round.
Select one item or several and click Find the best place. CargoDuo moves them to the best free spot in their own vehicle and leaves everything else as it is. One undo puts them all back.
Items waiting to be loaded can sit in a Warehouse list beside the scene, each with a small picture. Drag them into a vehicle; if several do not fit where you drop them, CargoDuo offers to place them in the best spot for you.
3D viewer
Under the dial, one toolbar holds everything you do with the selection: Zoom to selection, Show only selected, Hide, Select all like this, Edit and To the warehouse. Point at a button to see its name and shortcut.
Tape-measure rulers can run along the vehicle’s edges, and side names such as Loading door, Front wall and Left side lie on the floor beside it. The Overhang set for a vehicle shows as a marked area where cargo may stick out.
Download image saves what you see in the 3D scene as a picture named after the project, ready to send to a driver or a customer.

For a vehicle with an Auxiliary Deck, the scene shows a card for each level, Top shelf and Floor, with its own weight and fill. Click a card to see only that level. The loading steps start with the top shelf.
Loading plans
For vehicles with a shelf, the PDF takes the crew through the top shelf first, then the floor, and every page shows which level it is on. Each drawing shows the whole load space, overhang included.
3D viewer
Cargo has soft, paper-like colors with crisp edges, and the name on top of each item is sized to fit it, so it is easy to read from any angle.
Scene settings are sorted into four tabs: View, Vehicles, Placing and Just me. Point at an option, or at the eye next to its name, to see a small 3D preview of what it changes before you choose.
CargoDuo 1.3 shows you a second loading plan next to your own, so you can pick the one that loads better. Packing now keeps running after you close the tab, items that did not fit can be loaded without starting over, and the packing algorithm fits more cargo into each vehicle, so more loads go out on fewer trucks.
Items that did not fit get a red Load Remaining button. CargoDuo places them in the free space left in your vehicles, without moving anything already loaded.

Fewer vehicles for the same load. The packing algorithm now fills each vehicle much more completely before adding another, so more shipments go out on a single truck.
Better use of trailer space. Items with rotation set to Free are now planned in more orientations, so more cargo fits in the same trailer.
Loads split by delivery group are packed more tightly and calculated faster, so grouped loads use less trailer length and often fewer vehicles.
Axle limits are now also applied to plans loaded by delivery group, so those loads stay within the truck's axle ratings too.
